I must admit that debut novels are not my thing and I don't go crazy waiting for them. I usually tend to read books a little bit later than their publish date (like some years later). There are some debut novels scheduled for 2016, which I'm looking forward to reading sooner rather than later.

"Thief of Lies" ("Library Jumpers" #1) by Brenda Drake
Release Date: January 5th 2016
"Jumping into some of the world's most beautiful libraries" - isn't that what all of us want?!
"After the Woods" by Kim Savage
Release Date: February 23rd 2016
I love mysteries and this one sounds really intriguing, so I really want to get my hands on this book in the near future.
"Where Futures End" by Parker Peevyhouse
Release Date: February 9th 2016
I'm not sure why, but I feel that this book is going to be really interesting and captivating.
"Blackhearts" by Nicole Castroman
Release Date: February 9th 2016
This book is a retelling about Blackbeard the pirate. How cool is that?!
"Sword and Verse" by Kathy MacMillan
Release Date: January 19th 2016
May I just say how awesome this cover is...The story sounds like a typical fantasy, but I'm looking forward to it.

"These Vicious Masks" by Tarun Shanker and Kelly Zekas
Release Date: February 9th 2016
Jane Austen meets X-Men? Well, I love both of them, so of course I'm going to give this book a try. I must admit I was drawn by the cover at first :D
"This Is Where It Ends" by Marieke Nijkamp
Release Date: January 5th 2016
I would never try to pronounce this author's name. This book is told over the span of less then an hour and I don't remember reading something like that, so I'm really interested in reading this one.
"The Reader" ("Sea of Ink and Gold" #1) by Traci Chee
Release Date: September 13th 2016 (Far away in the future)
First of all - the title is spot on! Second - this book is set in a world where reading is forbidden! It sounds awesome!
"A Fierce and Subtle Poison" by Samantha Mabry
Release Date: April 12th 2016
"In this stunning debut, legends collide with reality when a boy is swept into the magical, dangerous world of a girl filled with poison." - I was sold on the first sentence of the synopsis...I mean, a girl filled with poison? Please, tell me more...
"Jerkbait" by Mia Siegert
Release Date: May 3rd 2016
As far as I understood, this is a book that has something to do with mental health and I like reading about this topic. Hopefully it's going to be one good read.
Did any of these books make it into your list of most anticipated debut novels? Share your blog post about this topic and I'll be happy to read it :)
